Perth is popular for British immigrants

British people have been favouring Perth when moving to Australia.
Perth has become a more popular choice for British people who migrate to Australia.

Liz Rowlinson, editor for A Place in the Sun magazine, said that in the last few years more British immigrants have been moving to Perth. In the past they have favoured Melbourne and Sydney as residential destinations.

British immigration to Australia can often take a long period of time as they have to go through a points system in order to prove that they have skills that they can offer to the country.

Perth has shown promise for people who invest in residential property in Australia as recently it has had the most growth in property prices compared to the other big cities in Australia.

In January the Australian Property Monitors (APM) reported a 6.1 per cent increase in property prices over 2012. The median house price and apartment price was valued at $560,780 and $365,132 respectively.

APM reported that house prices had risen across all of Australia’s capital cities.
