As we know, Chris Hemsworth is the voice of the There's Nothing Like Australia campaign from Tourism Australia, and now his fans will have the chance to follow him as he takes a tour around his home country.
Chris and his family will be heading off on a trip together, as part of the tourism operator's campaign to encourage more international travellers to book an exciting adventure holiday in the country.
Fans and for those who are interested to follow the trip will be able to do so through the social media platforms Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
It is hoped that the images Chris and his family will be posting - as global ambassadors - will be an excellent showcase of the aquatic sights of Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef.
Chris will also be journeying to Uluru; one of the lesser-spotted places for holidays but it's a spot that is no less perfect for families to enjoy as an adventure destination.
He and his wife and children will also be heading along to investigate the gorges and waterholes of the Kimberley, which Tourism Australia hopes will inspire others to do the same.
Videos and pictures taken by Chris and his partner are going to be shared to their combined ten million social media followers and also to the fans and followers of the Tourism Australia networks.
State and territory tourism organisations and industry operators that are featured throughout their ten-day trip will also be posting and retweeting the activities that the Hemworth's get up to.
Ideas for itineraries and that are influenced by their trip are also going to be published on Australia.com, Australia.cn and will be made available to Aussie Specialist agents over the world to help increase the amount of holiday bookings made to go to Australia.
John O'Sullivan, Tourism Australia's managing director, said: "Chris Hemsworth is already lending a genuine Australian voice to our campaign.
"This family has taken that sense of authenticity a step further, giving him and his family the chance to show the world first-hand what it feels like to immerse yourself fully in an Australian holiday."
