Spring selling season 'could be popular'

Spring could be a great time for Australians to sell property, a sector expert has argued.

The annual spring selling season for property owners across Australia could be significantly better this year than many might expect, it has been claimed.

Research analyst Cameron Kusher told Australian Property Investor that the Australian property sector is looking significantly more positive at present than it did at this time last year and this bodes well for anyone hoping to carry out a property transaction over the coming months.

Mr Kusher highlighted a number of factors that have helped bolster the industry at present.

He commented: "These measures range from a lower number of new property listings entering the market and other measures such as inflation, which is well below average levels."

Mr Kusher's comments follow those of SQM Research managing director Louis Christopher, who recently argued that while it is still too early to state a definite recovery in the sector is underway, all the signs are now pointing in the right direction for the coming months to prove extremely beneficial to the Australian property market overall.
