REISA to host Australasian Auctioneering Championships

This year's Australasian Auctioneering Championships are to be held in South Australia.

The Real Estate Institute of South Australia (REISA) is set to host the annual Australasian Auctioneering Championships next month.

Australian property owners might like to head along to witness the skills of the best auctioneers in Australia and New Zealand, as they are put through their paces in terms of the auctioneering abilities and professionalism in the face of difficulty.

"Being on home territory will hopefully give them that extra advantage as it would be wonderful for our state to be able to say we have the best auctioneer in Australasia in the field every weekend," commented REISA chief executive officer Greg Troughton.

He added that there is an open invitation for anyone interested to come along and watch.

Meanwhile, Infolio recently published new data highlighting a downturn in auctions in Melbourne, as more people look to carry out off-market sales in order to reduce costs in the present financial climate.
