Many would not be aware of my passion for environmental issues, but it runs deep in my veins and has done for many years.
I recently had the pleasure of watching Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth”, and it has reignited my concerns for this wonderful planet, and prompted me to act in some small way.
As I watched the movie, one thought crystalised in my mind…
What is the point of investing in anything if the planet will not be in a state to protect our investment.
It is truly ironic that we worry about theft, tenant’s not paying their rent, damage to our property and protection of our personal title and interest with great vigour, yet we are becoming increasingly lazy when it comes to protecting the entire environment that our asset and our persons live in.
Why is this?
I believe education, or lack of it, is a major factor and in starting a ground swell I commend the efforts of Mr Gore and will be doing my bit to shout a message to others in the hope that we can truly make a difference before it is too late, and in doing so ensure this wonderful world remains for the benefit of future generations.
The constant smokescreens laid up by Governments all over the world is clouding our individual judgement and delaying us from taking the necessary actions to save this planet.
I know you care about the future, that is why you are looking to invest in some property for the future benefit of you and your family.
I ask you now to widen your range of care to include this planet, that will be housing your family for many generations unless we mess it up.
We can all do something to improve the planet.
