The creation of a new grade A office development in Melbourne's docklands has been announced, with the project a joint partnership between Charter Hall and Flagship Property Holdings.
A new 12-storey structure has been earmarked for 685 La Trobe Street, which will deliver 37,000 sq ft of new office space once complete, the Property Council of Australia reports.
Set to consist of two office "wings", a landscaped plaza, 137-space car park, 250-space bicycle mezzanine and up to 1,100 sq ft of new retail areas.
Approval for the project has now been granted. However, a timetable for completion of the scheme has not yet been produced.
Elsewhere, a new trade skills centre is presently under construction in Darwin that aims to provide a welcome boost to trades in the state in the coming years.
Mr Wilson commented: "The Northern Territory is one of the fastest growing regions in Australia and has also been identified as one of the jurisdictions with the most acute skills shortage problems in the nation."
