Adverts for Australian property in Brisbane are boasting that they are "flood-free" in an attempt to attract more sellers.
Sales pitches for Brisbane riverside property are also featuring phrases such as "high and dry" and "close to perfect", the Australian newspaper reports.
Real estate agent Jay Brent told the publication that there has been a flurry of activity in the flood-affected areas from interstate property investors looking to snap up a bargain.
He went on to say that he does not expect a downturn in the market to occur once this flurry has ceased.
Mr Brent said that people used to ask how properties by the river faired in the floods of 1974, but the question on everyone's lips from now on will be "what happened in 2011?".
Last week, developer Mirvac said that it would fix the eight of its ground floor units of the multi-million-dollar Tennyson Reach complex that sustained flood damage.
