Air travel launches 'all you can fly' membership

Airly, a new Australian airline, has launched the country's first membership only carrier, which features 'all you can fly' privileges for its members.

The company's co-founders, Alexander Robinson, Luke Hampshire and Ivan Vysotskiy, plan to offer this unlimited travel to various airports around Australia, reports News.com.au.

The limitless travel is likely to be an attractive prospect for many frequent flyers around Australia as it is a fraction of the cost of standard private travel.

Airly will charter its flights between Essendon in Melbourne, Bankstown in Sydney and Canberra. The airline carrier hopes to expand its flights to Archerfield in Brisbane, Adelaide and the Gold Coast among other areas in the country.

Further ahead the co-founders hope that their exclusive but affordable membership will become an option for international travel.

One of the founders, Mr Robinson, said that there are many routes that suit the company business model and he hopes that "once we have perfected things in Australia we will set our eyes abroad into New Zealand and Asia".

The membership aims to save passengers time by being able to park in the airline's private terminal, which isn't a luxury afforded to travellers at Australia's major airports. Travellers can now expect to be on the plane and in the air in minutes, thanks to this service from Airly.

Mr Robinson has estimated that the carrier "will save passengers about two hours for a return flight Essendon-Bankstown, over the commercial equivalent Melbourne-Sydney".

This is because those who are travelling won't have to bother with the "inefficiencies of parking a car" and other aspects of airports that take up travel time.

According to information from Airly, those who travel on private jets will be able to save money because the unlimited flights are $2550 per month, which is a significant amount cheaper than standard private flights through the same monthly period.

Benefits to travellers on Airly flights include high levels of comfort on an eight-seat private aircraft, and on the ground benefits such as free Wi-Fi amenities, snacks and drinks in each of the airport lounges.
