First-time home buyers in Sydney have been highlighted as being the most satisfied with their purchases, it has been revealed.
According to research carried out by Mortgage Choice and reported by The Age, more than eight out of ten first-time buyers in the New South Wales (NSW) capital claim to be happy with their first property purchase, with less than half having any regrets at all about the deal.
Indeed, the research showed that buyers in NSW are certainly doing the homework, looking at 21 homes on average before settling on a purchase.
"It makes sense to invest the appropriate amount of time into researching and viewing potential properties to make sure you are happy with the final decision," commented Mortgage Choice spokeswoman Belinda Williamson.
Meanwhile, Savills' World Cities Review recently highlighted Sydney as being among the best-performing cities for price growth during the first half of 2012.
The NSW city witnessed price growth of 3.7 per cent, beaten only by Moscow (5.4 per cent) and Hong Kong (7.4 per cent).
