UrbanGrowth NSW publishes plans

New development plans have been announced by UrbanGrowth NSW.

The New South Wales (NSW) division of the Property Council of Australia (PCA) UrbanGrowth NSW has published a new report outlining its future plans for development in urban areas across the state.

UrbanGrowth NSW is the state's new development agency and it has outlined its vision for the future of the area.

Its primary focus is set to be the assembly of land for new developments, and as such, it has now committed to the withdrawal of selling land in competition with the property industry, with the aim of increasing future housing supply.

"Our objective is to create the conditions that enable industry to deliver an increased and efficient supply of housing in NSW," commented Landcom chairman John Brodgen at the recent NSW PCA lunch.

Elsewhere, the PCA recently revealed its regeneration plans for the Fishermans Bend area of Melbourne, including the creation of large expanses of open space for local residents to enjoy.
