New Chinese property website opens with focus on Australia

A new website launched this week in China will put its focus on property investment in Australia and the US.
A new Chinese website, launched this week, has claimed to be the first of its kind, focusing on investment overseas, and specifically in the US and Australia.

Meiaoju.com is a Chinese language site that carries property market news, quality listings for real estate in the nations and customer service that can help investors move between their home nation and new markets.

At the moment, Opp Connect reports that the majority of the listings on the site are for Australian homes.

This will come as no surprise, after Knight Frank International recently named the nation as the second-most popular in the Asia-Pacific region for foreign investment.

According to owners of the new website, some 63 million people in China have enough capital to be able to invest in foreign real estate markets, and it is expected that they will build on the 12 per cent of new homes they are buying per year in Australia in years to come.

Credit Suisse has predicted that between this year and the end of 2020, Chinese investors will be putting some US$44 billion (£26.5 billion) into the Australian property market.
