Master Builders Australia (MBA) has announced an update to both the Construction Management form and accompanying Trade Contract for developers.
MBA chief executive Wilhelm Harnisch said the new contracts will be a vital tool for builders in helping to harmonise health and safety legislation with practices, as well as easing the burden of paperwork for developers.
The organisation advised that each of the contracts should be completed as early as possible in the design phase of any new project.
Mr Harnisch commented: "This is so the construction manager can assess the 'buildability' of the project. Construction managers will prove their worth by helping to create the most cost-effective design."
Earlier this week, MBA highlighted some of the best examples of building excellence across the country, bestowing awards on those firms that have helped to raise standards in construction over the last year.
Winners included the Brookfield Multiplex in Queensland and the Devils Creek Development Project in Western Australia.
