Interest Rates Unchanged (1)

In a strong sign of the ongoing stability in Australian markets, the Reserve Bank once again decided to leave interest rates unchanged for the 5th consecutive meeting.
Stable results in inflation and consumer spending have provided sufficient encouragement for the Reserve Bank to leave interest rates unchanged once again in their May meeting.

Rates have not risen since the November decision, despite some market speculation that they may rise by commentators.

We have consistenty believed that they would remain stable and believe this environment should remain in the near future, particulalrly as we move towards a Federal Election later this year.
