Home entertainment goes to the wall

We live in fortunate times, and the pace of recreational technology is escalating.Plasma Flat Screens, integrated Digital TV and now the ultimate wall system to house our newest toys has arrived to great acclaim.
It is no surprise that one of the winners in the Best of Innovations category at the Consumer Electronics Association 2007 Exhibition in Las Vegas this week was a way of mounting the entertainment centre on the wall while hiding away all the unsightly cords and electrical components that come with it.

The evo system™ is essentially an aluminium frame with a few shelves and wood veneer panels which are strong enough to hold that new flat-screen television and speakers. It extends just 10cms from the wall, creating a hollow space for power and wiring distribution. Equipment changes and/or upgrades can be accommodated by rearranging shelves and mounts or expanding the frame.
