Australian property will be improved by plans to review how cities are generated in the country, according to the Property Council of Australia and the Residential Development Council.
The Council of Australian Governments' Reform Council's Capital Cities Strategic Planning Systems Review will help reassess how municipalities are managed in a positive way, the industry bodies claimed.
Peter Verwer, PCA chief executive, argued that well-designed and efficiently-run cities are crucial in boosting economic growth and providing a stable platform for development in Australia.
Executive director of the Residential Development Council Caryn Kakas added that an integrated response will be necessary to cope with the problems facing urban properties.
"The links between housing, employment opportunities and infrastructure are key features of strategic planning for our cities," she explained.
A recent report from the PCA claimed that investment from the federal government is crucial in developing appropriate infrastructure, according to the National Press Club.
