As we farewell 2006 we are presented with a great opportunity to review this years achievements, assess any significant changes and review the major events that shaped our business this year.
As with most service industries our real success is determined by building long term mutually beneficial relationships.
In property quantifiable terms, our success is evidenced by strong sales and efficient rentals. By the end of this month (November) we will have sold over 250 homes and leased approximately 300 properties this year.
Our success has been achieved by expanding our marketing strategies to increase exposure. On a regular basis our property editorials are appearing in the Courier Mail and local Quest papers.
Furthermore we joined the Aussie Property Club in February which has enabled us to market our projects to offshore investors, expatriates and intended migrants looking to purchase property in Australia.
This offshore marketing has taken the form of property expos, seminars and internet advertising.
In order to better service our developers, Bob Payne joined us in March to focus on site sales and acquisitions. During this time he has successfully sold a number of sites throughout Brisbane.
Our Property Management Department was very busy this year letting out a number of recently settled buildings for our investors in Chermside Central at Chermside, Kingspoint at Auchenflower, Axis Taringa, South Edge and South Vale at South Brisbane.
The diversification into management rights is enabling us to facilitate the smooth transition for our investors by getting tenants into properties sooner and then ensuring the property is well maintained to ensure maximum rent is achieved.
In order to cope with the increase of properties our property management team grew this year to include a full time letting officer and an assistant property manager.
One of our major changes this year was the formation of Independence Investments Qld which is run by Peter Robertson. The goal of Independence Investments Qld is to educate and empower clients to be successfully independent.
Another positive change is the expansion of our strategic alliances with DFS Financial Services and Approved Finance.
