Steve DOUGLAS
The co-founder and Managing Director of Australasian Taxation Services (1995) and Chairman of SMATS Services Pte Ltd. His area of taxation specialisation includes non resident property investors, migration and expatriate taxation planning.

A regular presentor on Taxation matters affecting property investors, expatriates and intended migrants, Steve has delivered seminars on behalf of many industry organisations and developers including the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia and Australian Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong.

Steve has also been featured in articles by the Singapore Business Times, South China Morning Post, Australian Entrpreneur Magazine, Benchmark, Western Australian Property & Investment and Property Link magazine.

Steve began his career with Ernst Young in 1984 and established a private taxation practise in 1988 specialising in small business taxation and management. He is a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia and a Registered Tax Agent.

Helen AVIS
Helen is a Director of SMATS Services Pte Ltd, and holds the position of Finance Director for our International Finance Division.

With over 14 years of finance experience as a mortgage broker and financial planner in Asia and Europe, Helen brings a great deal of knowledge and expertise to her clients.

Helen is a member of the Mortgage Industry Association of Australia, accredited with most Australian lenders and holds a Diploma in International Financial Planning.

Ravin CHATLANI

Ravin joined the group in 1998 after completing a Bachelor of Business from Monash University, Melbourne and currently serves as a taxation consultant with Australasian Taxation Services with an emphasis on Foreign Investors taxation matters.

He is an Associate of both the Australian Society of CPA's and the Taxation Institute of Australia.

Ravin is also well versed in finance matters relating to Australian property investment being UCCC accredited with a number of Australian lending institutions.

Jason LAWRANCE
Jason is a Director of our UK subsidiary SMATS Services Ltd (UK)

Jason holds the position of Senior Taxation Accountant and Finance consultant. He joined ATS in 2002 after having previously worked with Steve Douglas in 1992 before leaving to complete his Bachelor of Business from Edith Cowan University.

After his studies Jason practised in Perth specialising in Australian Taxation & Superannuation Compliance. He also holds UCCC finance accreditation with a number of Australian lenders.

Jason is now based in our London office to service the growing number of clients for the United Kingdom and surrounding regions.

Linda LAWRANCE

Linda holds the position of Senior Finance consultant, Accountant and is a registered Australian tax agent. Linda is a Chartered Accountant and she holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting & Taxation and an Associate Diploma of Business.

She joined ATS in 2003 and has seven years experience with an Australian public accounting practice with an extensive career in Australian Taxation, Compliance, Audit and Superannuation. She also holds UCCC accreditations with a number of Australian lenders.

Linda is now based in our London office to service the growing number of clients for the United Kingdom and surrounding regions.

Sheryn Low
Sheryn joined SMATS Group in 2006 and is manages our operations in Dubai and the Middle East.

After an extensive career with one of Australia's largest Banking Corporations based in Singapore, Sheryn brings over 10 years of specialised Australian Lending experience with her.

Sophie Kassim
Sophie is based in our Singapore Headquarters and holds the position of Lending Administrator.

Having joined SMATS Group in 2002, she has become an integral part of our team and manages the lending applications of clients from around the world, allowing smooth transition from application to loan settlement.

Diana Chua
Diana holds the position of Senior Taxation Accountant based out of our Singapore Headquarters.

She joined SMATS Group in 2004, after completing her Bachelor of Business studies and overseas the Taxation Preparation and advisory of our growing Singapore team.

Lisa Parry
Lisa joined SMATS Group in 2006, and is responsible for our Hong Kong operations.

After completing studies in her Bachelor of Business through Edith Cowen University, Lisa qualified as an Australian CPA in 1998.

Having practiced in Australian Taxation and accounting in Perth, Lisa chose to take up the expatriate life and moved to Dubai where she lived for 3 years and then London for 2 years before moving to Hong Kong in 2001, where she has settled with her family.
